[03:36:29] <static-> hello
[03:36:36] <static-> did anyone see my questons from a couple days ago?
[03:36:54] <static-> wondering how i can get authentic adlib/sbpro music in exult, instead of mt-32
[03:42:16] <Lightkey> http://log.usecode.org/exultlog.php?log=11Jun2017
[03:42:56] <static-> Oh thank you
[03:43:15] <static-> Dominus: actually it's the sb music i'm looking for, not sfx
[03:43:25] <static-> I couldn't find ogg for SB music
[03:45:09] <static-> I tried the FMOpl midi driver built in exult, but it doesn't sound right.. compared to in dosbox which sounds exactly like the original
[03:47:10] <static-> Dominus: for the green movement arrow, you're right that you don't need to position the arrow right at the edge of the screen, but it would be nice if you didn't have to go out as far to towards the edge
[03:54:34] <static-> https://github.com/exult/exult/blob/176935e78f87e1f01d596148e9396417528befb1/mouse.cc#L308
[03:55:14] <static-> I think if perhaps 0.8 was lowered, it would do what I'm asking
[03:55:31] <static-> maybe I'll try to build exult
[04:10:44] <static-> can i use a newer visual studio to build exult?
[05:01:40] <static-> hm doesn't seem so
[15:55:47] <Dominus> static-: FMOpl is using the same code as ScummVM, Dosbox might use other or more advanced code
[15:56:12] <Dominus> *and* it might depend on what SB type you are using in Dosbox vs to what Exult uses
[16:00:07] <Dominus> wjp, do you know if there is an easy way to find whether there is a scummvm fork that updated the FMOpl code with the now GPLed Mame code?
[16:04:29] <wjp> not sure
[16:06:42] <Dominus> scummvm just has too many forks :)
[20:39:21] <static-> Dominus: wjp: what are you guys using to dev & build windows version exult?
[20:57:20] <Dominus> Static-: we don't ;)
[20:58:14] <Dominus> We are both not on Windows. But the Readme.win32 (or .mingw) has instructions on how to build Exult with mingw.
[20:58:50] <Dominus> It's what Kirben uses, who builds the snapshots and I used that when I was still on Windows
[21:02:26] <Dominus> And in regards to the FMOpl, you *could* record the music from the original in DOSBox or better a real Dos machine and make a SB digital music pack
[21:03:18] <Dominus> I really mean this, it's not meant as being condescending. It would be a nice addition
[21:54:30] <static-> Dominus: ok well good to know such a thing doesn't exist. It would be a good addition indeed..
[22:02:20] <static-> wonder if there's a good way to play all the music back to back.. some debug mode?
[22:45:13] <wjp> alt-1 gives a basic music player
