[04:47:50] --- Darke|zzZ is now known as Darke
[11:50:42] <Darke> Greetings.
[11:50:42] <Colourless> hi
[11:50:52] <Colourless> now that was a little slow :-)
[11:51:13] <Darke> Juuuust a touch. *grin*
[11:51:47] <Colourless> yes, by about 2 seconds
[13:20:37] <Fingolfin> yo
[13:21:03] <Darke> Hi.
[13:21:19] <Colourless> hi
[13:21:20] * Darke wonders how you add fonts to OpenOffice. *ponder*
[13:23:28] * Darke finds out exactly how to do it in the online help file... *boggle* Wow, he's never seen one if these being actually _useful_ before. *boggle*
[13:23:59] <Fingolfin> lol
[13:24:14] <Colourless> bah, fonts should be a service of the operating system/window manager
[13:24:58] <Colourless> what exactly does OpenOffice run under?
[13:25:25] <Darke> X and Windows, IIRC.
[13:26:58] <Darke> Sure, but I haven't added these fonts to X yet only to KDE with a util which I thought was actually adding them to X 'properly', but apparently wasn't. *grin* Nice to know there's an 'easy' way to add them though.
[13:45:06] * Darke will BRB.
[16:42:58] <wjp> hi
[16:43:06] <Colourless> hi
[16:43:07] <wjp> Fingolfin: how did you do yesterday?
[16:45:28] <Darke> Hi.
[17:26:12] <Fingolfin> hiya
[17:26:31] <Fingolfin> wjp: we placed 23rd out of 54 :-/ solving 4 of 8 problems... at least we were second best german team
[17:26:36] <Fingolfin> wjp: icpc.tudelft.nl
[17:26:41] --- Darke is now known as Darke|zzZ
[17:26:55] <Fingolfin> http://ch.its.tudelft.nl/~chipcie/score/score-final.html
[17:27:02] <Fingolfin> we are the Dining Philosophers
[17:27:35] <Fingolfin> I was almost done with a 5th problem, but due to bad time managment on our part, I lacked like 10 minutes...
[17:27:51] <Fingolfin> that happens if you only start to look at a problem 20 minutes before end, realize it should be simple, and start coding...
[17:27:52] <Fingolfin> :-)
[17:42:25] <wjp> Dining Philosophers.. nice name :-)
[17:42:38] <wjp> ah, bug fiction won
[17:42:45] <wjp> not really surprising :-)
[17:59:04] <Fingolfin> well the outcome was kind of a surprise in the end
[17:59:14] <Fingolfin> code runners were in the lead during almost the whole contest
[17:59:27] <Fingolfin> they went from 1st to 3rd in the last 30 minutes or so
[17:59:57] <Fingolfin> but leiden suffered from your absence it seems? :-)
[18:00:34] <wjp> yeah, probably :-)
[18:00:51] <wjp> the other two teams didn't really do all that well in the dutch championships last month
[18:01:28] <wjp> although apparently only one other team participated here
[18:01:37] <wjp> wow, 53rd out of 54?
[18:17:32] <Fingolfin> yup
[18:17:46] <Fingolfin> one problem was not solved by any team ; BTW
[18:18:47] <Fingolfin> and two problems only by maybe 4 or 5, apparently problem G was misjudged by most teams (including us), so most started it only very late even though it was quite simple (we worked on it in the last 20 minutes and almost did it, see above <g>)
[18:22:46] <wjp> they don't have the problems online yet, do they?
[18:28:37] <Fingolfin> don't think so
