[00:02:10] <wjp> yikes, it's late enough for you to wake up already?
[00:02:16] <wjp> hi, btw :-)
[00:03:11] <Darke> Greetings. Yeah, a bit early. Had to do government beaurocrazy stuff. *grin*
[00:34:51] --- Ember is now known as Darke
[08:38:31] <wjp> hi
[08:40:13] <Darke> Hiya.
[09:19:37] <`daniel> greetings
[11:49:43] <Colourless> hi
[11:52:55] <Colourless> I SAID HI! :-)
[11:56:34] * Darke earperks. You said something?
[11:56:53] <Colourless> hell no, I SHOUTED IT!
[11:57:53] <Darke> Ahh, ok. That's why I didn't here it then!
[14:12:55] <Kirben> Exult seems to be using args.cc for its command lines, wouldn't it be better to use getopts ? since args had issues
[14:13:33] <Colourless> there is problems with args?
[14:13:56] <Colourless> pentagram uses args
[14:14:25] <Kirben> exult studio always started up in bg mode, when launched though serpent isle.
[14:14:32] <Kirben> through I mean
[14:15:30] <Kirben> http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=579858&group_id=2335&atid=102335
[14:17:12] <Colourless> does someone know exactly what the problem with args was though
[14:18:11] <Kirben> No, since issue was never fixed, just avoided.
[14:18:35] <Colourless> now, you need to remember, not every platform has getopt
[14:21:19] <Kirben> Was just was thinking this could be possible cause of new game command line problems reported in forum
[14:21:37] <Colourless> args is case sensitive
[14:21:48] <Kirben> What platforms have no getopts ? is included with gcc
[14:22:07] <Colourless> MSVC has no getops.h yes it's part of gcc
[14:23:39] <Kirben> oh I wonder if exult studio still compiles on MSVC
[14:23:52] <Colourless> it 'never' compiled on it :-)
[14:24:23] <Colourless> i couldn't be bothered attempting to get all the libraries to do it
[14:24:23] <Kirben> ok, thought I might have broken it.
[14:26:05] <Colourless> now, it looks like the Args problem might have just been caused by an incompatibility with the way Exult was passing the args to Exult studio.
[14:26:49] <Colourless> exult doesn't put spacces between the option (-g and -x) and the path/file
[14:26:59] <Colourless> while that is what Args wants
[14:28:55] <Kirben> ok, so using args should be fine?
[14:29:09] <Colourless> yes
[14:29:41] <Colourless> just need to be careful about it's case sensitive nature. if i'm not mistaken exult expects everything in lowercase
[14:55:15] <Nadir> hi
[14:55:26] <wjp> hi
[14:55:55] <Colourless> hi
[14:56:24] <Darke> Hi! Night! *snooze*
