[16:27:55] <Dominus> marzo: should I squash and rebase my libmt32emu branch? It makes sense but I wanted to confirm with you in case you have this already checked out - seems to be the courteous thing before you squash :)
[16:28:24] <Marzo> I haven checked it out yet, no
[16:28:48] <Dominus> ok, then rebase it is :)
[16:28:53] <Marzo> Usually, squash is better only if there have been a lot of false starts and failed attempts
[16:29:02] <Marzo> And rebase is to keep a cleaner history
[16:30:54] <Dominus> the follow up commits after the big change is only small things like forgetting to delete one old file, fixes for the mt32emu ios file and readme fixes. and one false readme commit
[16:37:31] <Dominus> had to do this yesterday when I made a pull request on macports for the libmt32emu lib. After missing that spacing and this spacing, as well as other minor things, I had to squash a lot and then in the last step change the commit message, too...
[18:54:42] <Dominus> aaaaand macports accepted the port as well...
