[08:45:54] <wjp> Kirben: the pentagram module in the exult CVS isn't used anymore; there shouldn't be anything "useful" there anymore
[08:46:42] <Baastuul> QuAtScH~!
[08:46:53] <wjp> no, really :-)
[08:46:59] <Baastuul> :)
[08:47:01] <Baastuul> Hehehe
[09:09:16] <Kirben> wjp: oops I checked out wrong module.

[13:01:11] <morth> hi ppl
[13:02:14] <morth> i have this message: Internal cheapass forked timidity synthesiser
[13:02:29] <morth> and i don't have any audio
[13:02:38] <morth> is that the reason?
[13:11:10] <Darke> What sounds are you missing? Music? Or just sound effects?
[13:15:54] <morth> every sounds
[13:15:59] <morth> all sounds
[13:16:20] <morth> sound is enabled in the global and local file
[13:16:25] <morth> audio and midi
[13:16:39] <morth> and in the menu game configurations too
[13:17:13] <morth> do i need some patch for my sound blaster live! 5.1 or it comes with exult?
[13:19:12] <morth> i'm using version 1.00-2.3 in debian/unstable
[13:19:25] <Darke> Midi music 'should' work, or at least it did last time I used my Live. But you at least need the sound packs for sound effects, and it might be worth grabbing the music ones too, just to check: http://exult.sourceforge.net/download.php from near the bottom of here.
[13:20:02] <Darke> Hrm... though I don't think the music packs work on a version that old.
[13:20:47] <morth> downloaded already the source, Robert Bihlmeyer must more things to do than update this package :()
[13:21:15] <morth> maybe i should mail him
[13:21:23] <morth> or someone should hun?
[13:22:41] <Darke> The latest stable release should be happening 'soon' (though we've been saying that for the past few months... *grin*) so we'll probably bug various people then.
[13:25:10] <morth> Darke: i was talking about the unstable version.. its still 1.0 :s
[13:27:26] <morth> stable release from exult team or stable from debian?
[13:31:47] <Darke> Given the latest 'unstable' of exult hasn't really changed in the past few months, save for a couple of minor patches, it probably would qualify as both if it were already in unstable. *grin*
[13:32:15] <Darke> Erm... then again, last time I'd heard debian stable was still using long obsolete gcc2.95, so I dunno.
[13:34:55] <morth> U7OGGMUSIC are the music files?
[13:37:47] <Darke> IIRC, yes. I haven't actually used the music for quite a while.
[13:38:24] <Darke> They won't work with v1.0 though, only the 1.1 or later release.
[13:42:55] <morth> kay
[13:42:59] <morth> thanxs Darke
[13:43:26] <morth> midi wasn't working becouse i'm using timidity
[13:43:52] <Darke> Ahh.
[13:43:53] <morth> so timidity must be on the same path of the executable exult
[13:44:06] <morth> *timidity.xfg
[13:44:08] <morth> *timidity.cfg
