[09:33:50] <Marzo> Dominus: anything against bumping SDL requirements in Exult to SDL 2.0.13 or higher?
[09:36:08] <azeem> that's pretty recent?
[09:36:55] <azeem> Marzo: AFAICT 2.0.13 isn't even released?
[09:37:30] <Marzo> The joystick code is already using it, apparently
[09:38:13] <Marzo> But that is one good reason
[09:38:34] <azeem> what is the current sdl 2 requirement/
[09:38:35] <azeem> ?
[09:38:44] <Marzo> 2.0.1
[09:38:59] <azeem> Debian stable has 2.0.9 FWIW
[09:39:27] <azeem> how about releasing current master as 1.8 or something first, then bump?
[09:39:37] <azeem> AFAIK there's substantial changes since 1.6
[10:18:29] <travis-ci> exult/exult#354 (master - f44e682 : Marzo Sette Torres Junior): The build is still failing.

[10:18:29] <travis-ci> Build details : https://travis-ci.org/exult/exult/builds/692842911
[12:03:19] <Lightkey> Uh.. slow down there a bit, people might get panicky if there are two stable releases in the same decade.
[12:46:58] <Dominus> Marzo: I am not at home so can't test, but thanks for fixing the joystick. From the looks of it you needed to do quite a bit on it
[12:47:42] <Marzo> Most of it was cleanup to avoid c-isms and reduce the amount of global variables that are not needed
[12:48:39] <Dominus> I *think* only the vjoy part in the iOS code needs current SDL hg. But if we go for a built in virtual dpad we could need a bump eventually.
[12:49:29] <Dominus> SDL devs are trying to release more often, so it might not be far off
[13:05:53] <Marzo> Next up is adding code for the second joypad dpad to move the mouse pointer around, and bind some buttons into actions
[13:06:04] <Marzo> So that the game is actually playable with a joypad
[13:09:22] <Dominus> Yes, that would be great! And then some buttons as well ;)
[16:09:36] --- DominusExult is now known as Dominus
[22:09:29] <Lightkey> https://www.twitch.tv/gogcom Kilg0re_Tr0ut is playing through Ultima VII, I did not expect him to use Exult, he's a purist.
[22:14:01] <Lightkey> ..and he's still using "1.5", whichever version that is and skips the intro because it plays too slowly.
