Re: True translation

Here is a suggestion Rodrigo. Translating U7 takes a lot of time. Like the doc said, it took a team of 4 people over 2 years in our spare time. So I recommend you assemble a team of translators and make sure one of them has development skills (it's pretty much essential for this project anyways). Ge...

Call for help with usecode

Hi all, as mentioned in http://exult.info/forum/viewtopic.php?p=332697#p332697 I need some help to setup something for the translation. Here is the issue: the books contain so much text, that some functions *just* fits the 16 bit usecode (in particular the 0x02C1 function). Translated to French (whi...

I think Dominus is spot on regarding being closer to Ultima in the long run. After all, this is a beta to basically test core functionality, but there are still parts that are unavailable, like the quest log at the top. Once the get to have this ready, then you'll probably see something more Ultima-...

My view on this LoU is more of a technical one. As a fulltime web developer, I am always interested in how things are coded. So when I played LoU I looked and wondered, 'How did they manage to do that?'. Say what you want, on a technical aspect, a game working in real-time over the web (over the clo...

Re: Exult on PSP, Nokia, Zaurus & Co

I can't speak for the other arch, but the Zaurus port is suffering from the lack of an updated SDL as well as the requirement for gcc-3 or gcc-4 (only supports gcc-2.95.x). As a result, it is very unlikely that you would get Exult 1.4 (when it's ready) on the Zaurus. I had tried to port the newest g...

Hey all, if you have legal access to the MT-32 ROMS, especially MT32_CONTROL.ROM and MT32_PCM.ROM, you can find and install the mt32emu package and instruct Dosbox to use this newly added MIDI conversion port.
