Re: Existing mods collection
I've said it before, if more of these projects were in github repositories with compilation makefiles, they'd be better available to users.

Speaking of shapes, why hasn't the stocking fix on github been committed to SI fixes? Was it fixed meanwhile, in the 3 years that PR has had open.

Re: Bright screen issues in the morning
Fog should probably not be quite uniform, but something with greater opacity the more distant from the npc you're controlling. Not sure how to make it look good, for a special effect it's quite lacking. Maybe why it was used sparingly.

Re: Missing dependency installing on Ubuntu 20.04
If you're using the ppa, i just pushed a change that might fix this (or break everything) where i replaced the runtime dependency on 'libfluidsynth1' by installing the virtual package 'fluidsynth' that appears to link to fluidsynth 1 in eoan down and fluidsynth2 in focal up.

Depending on if i have to build anything, since i don't really have to build anything on keyring or sifixes since it's already part of the exult makefile.

If I could have a git repo for this or for the u6 project (that is still ongoing: http://www.ultima6.realmofultima.com/ )
I could maybe add them to the ppa build, like i add sifixes and bgkeyring.

Is this a artifact of the npc animations being so jerky and the camera being centered on them?
I think like ultima 8 a few thousands of party npcs frames might do wonders to it then.

There is no middle mouse button part. I abandoned that part when i relized the middle mouse button was already in use by exult. (Besides, this is better).

Re: Apply my patch please?
Ah that. I did it because of the reordering i did above of the this array; it's still the same: -static const int rowy[] = { 4, 16, 124, 28, 40, 52, 64, 76, 88, 100, 112, 148, 136 }; +static const int rowy[] = { 4, 16, 28, 40, 52, 64, 76, 88, 100, 112, 124, 136, 148 }; ... - if (sman->can_use_paperd...

Re: Apply my patch please?
The "If you press CTRL while the option is on, you can split the stacks again." should be
"If you press and hold CTRL while the option is on and you drop a stack, you can split the stacks again"
It's a modifier, not a toggle.

Re: Apply my patch please?
So notice i'm not altering the original behavior unless the "Misc Options" option is set. If it is, the game automerges the stacks if you drop them on top of eachother (and if in the backpack i think). If you press CTRL while the option is on, you can split the stacks again. This mostly wo...

Re: Apply my patch please?
So i changed the rowy array:
-static const int rowy[] = { 4, 16, 124, 28, 40, 52, 64, 76, 88, 100, 112, 148, 136 };

and adjusted the subsequent uses of it.

Also, yeah the patch has some polish for the menu indexes... It seemed there was some offset uglyness there at least. gumps/GameplayOptions_gump.cc I think (but don't quite remember) that it was that that the array that contained the positions 1) not all filled, ie, there was a gap with no position ...

This won't speed anything up though. I suppose subversion commit rights are out of the question? I wouldn't actually touch the code, just refactor it around when not completely functional (that, now it appears to be).

Re: Porting to Android via Java
There are two places where you are using iterator in the oldest way possible. You should probably use a for each there. I would give you a diff file, but netbeans is being retarded and only allowing me to diff single files, so it would take more time for you to apply that than do it manually.

Re: Porting to Android via Java
A quick question though: you're trying to keep class to class compatibility between the codebases? There is a ObjectList class that is rather redundant considering the (rather excellent, except for very specialized uses, or primitive collections) java collections api.

The worse part of being a managed language are badly designed api's that even with immutable types are paranoid and copy things into new arrays.
Anyway do you have a repository? I enjoy running findbugs on java code bases and fixing trivial @!#$.
