Nice work!
Except, I was wondering who the blond-haired fag was until I realized that not everyone choses the avatar to be black.

Re: Johnson in Goblin's Camp
I didn't really mean loose end. I sort of meant abrupt or premature in a way that makes people want more (ex. this thread).

Re: The SIMS obsession in U7
Ali J, I've used Lydia's room/shop as my base before, but in this current turn around I'm pretty much using the whole jail.

heh
Ultima 7: Part 3 - The Quest to Save Johnson
Seriously, I know he's a big loose end, but the rest of Monitor is toast soon enough after that point anyway.

That's funny because he isn't following my party around. I can still find him hanging out in/around that hut.

Re: Resurrecting NPCs in party?
I'm pretty sure that characters don't really have a dead state, they're just teleported to a certain room and replaced with a dead figure of themselves. Check someone who's dead using NPC tool, how about Lydia for example, she dies quick. I see her, #72, as not dead with alive with -50 health. I don...

Oh, dude, I swear I totally went through all the FAQ but somehow missed that.
Anyway, how about the sheild vs. 2-handed question?

Is this a bug? and OT game question
Been playing through SI again with Exult and ever since the knighthood banquet that one pikeman that lets you into the training arena hasn't been there. You know who I'm talking about; the one pikeman that sits at the desk. Is this a bug? I'm venturing further in the game and getting my ass handed t...

Know what I think would be cool?
If someone made a random dungeon generator that uses Exult studio to make Nethack-esque levels to explore. It could also be hard as hell like Nethack too(alot of traps, hard to find useful items, rare magic items and rare food). ;p I guess, when I think about it, thing could get really complicated a...

Re: Best Player Dialogue System?
Speaker independency and continuous speech recognition are still a ways off. Again, I'm not saying that you cannot have recognized key words to speak out in dialogue like U7. I'm saying that you cannot carry on a conversation like you could a real person. For the implications therein, please refer t...

Re: Best Player Dialogue System?
No, I know exactly what I'm talking about. I've used programs such as Naturally Speaking pretty extensively and can state that both AI and voice recognition would have to be upped considerably to make conversation with a machine no less cumbersome than a real life conversation. My point wasn't makin...

Re: Best Player Dialogue System?
Here's the problem with having to type things in: Video games, by design, let you do things 'easier' than you could in real life. Easier can mean cheaper, faster, more chance of success, less risky to yourself, etc. If it was cheaper, faster, easier, less risky to fly a plane in real life than in a ...

Re: remaking ultima games
I'm drumming up a U7 remake of my own. The funny thing is that I'm not worried about either the graphic (thus, not making my own unless absolutely necissary) or storyline. Well, the storyline would basically be more about a town than a personal adventure. It would be I think the closest thing U7 cou...

Re: GOTHIC2 vs ULTIMA 7 EXULT
I would have to argue that the Ultimas before 7 hold alot of storyline as well. I've only played 3 and 6 before UU, but that was a long time ago, and there is alot of storyline with the Gargoyles and such (and Sherry! Dont forget Sherry the mouse!).

Re: Advice on Exult Studio please?
Well, after the first round of testing it out I haven't been able to get into BG since (BG just crashes on startup). SI works though, so at least that counts for me trying out the program. I guess what's next is figuring usecode, which I'm getting some leads on already.

rofl, that would be it. I didn't understand the terminology of "snapshot" and assumed that just meant the latest stable version. Thanks!

Advice on Exult Studio please?
I've seriously sat here for the better part of the day trying to figure this out (but finding out a bunch of other neat stuff about exult instead). And, why not, let me also say that I've been following Exult for a long while now. If it wasn't for you guys I would still be using a 486 to play Ultima...
