Re: Savage Empire Remake Thread
Good going Scythifuge! I never played Savage Empire, but I remember the boxes. I started playing Ultima games at Ultima 7. From what I've heard, Savage Empire has a good plot. Thank your for your effort, and I look forward to following your rendition as it moves along.

Re: Unseen Origin Documents found!
I have all sorts of hope for this... There wasn't any mention of Ultima 7 though. I would really like it if they could find the working multi-level Moonshade that had to be cut because of space in SI. Plus the infamous Ratman portrait. There's so much that SI could benefit from if they found the rig...

This also could have been a visualization from the cut plot. It's been a long time since I've looked at that picture, but I believe that there were a couple of Dark Monks not used in the game in it. I don't think they could get the engine to do what they wanted at the time with the power of the 486 ...

No, that was Ultima 6.... I distinctly remember a Japanese (or was it Korean) game that was based off of the Ultima 7 engine. But there was a Japanese game for the Famicom (Super Nintendo) that worked off of the same engine as Ultima 7. It wasn't the Black Gate. Those graphics would work very well with Exult. Thanks for the information DrCode. I guess if my plate clears (busyness), I can attempt some usecode. Of course, it would help if I finished the portraits first, and had some art objects to attach to. So, I should work on those also. The catch is time, and laziness. :p

So, was this a stupid question? (I realize I ask a few ;0p ). If it is the case that dynamic lighting can be used (since it's OpenGL) then it would have to be tied to U7's weather engine, or weather, and sun angle would have to be re-thought about all together. Also, there's the two moons at night.....
