Re: Mac OS X Sound Issues (again)

You're right SB-X, my bad. So with the current setup right now, if I start the game, and then: (8) hit "esc" to get the menu, click "audio," then click driver so that it says "digital," nothing will come out since the digital ogg files haven't been installed. (9) create...

Re: Mac OS X Sound Issues (again)

Could you be more specific as to what you did, and what error you're getting? Let me just go through the steps I take to get digital music to run: (1) Create an exult 1.2 directory somewhere, and copy all the contents of the mounted Exult 1.2 disc into it (2) Edit /Users//Library/Preferences/exult.c...

Re: Exult latest snapshot built MAC OSX

The documentation bug report? Sorry, I just lumped all my grievances into one report. Sorry, I probably should have separated them. http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1738138&group_id=2335&atid=102335 I just included a paragraph at the bottom saying: "Oh, on a ...

Re: Exult latest snapshot built MAC OSX

Oh yeah, almost forgot, the Configuration.cc file is found in the /conf directory where your exult CVS files are installed. Don't edit the Configuration.cc file unless you have to. I only had to do it because I kept getting the error: Description missing! WRONG EXULT VERSION But I'm running Exult on...

Re: Exult latest snapshot built MAC OSX

Hey Rob, Awesome! Doesn't it feel great to get a problem solved after so much trial? Unfortunately, the docs are wrong. You don't type "make Exult_app" you're supposed to type "make bundle." I created a bug-report on this issue, but apparently they haven't fixed the documentation...

Re: Exult latest snapshot built MAC OSX

Sup, I can successfully make on OS X, but I can't give you the binary b/c the way it creates the binary on OS X is a little flakey...it creates hardlinks, so it won't work on other people's computers. some questions before I can help you though: (1) Are you compiling on an Intel computer or a PPC co...

Re: Can't run mods

FOUND IT!!! Looks like Configuration.cc was hardcoded poorly for OSX. Am I really the only person who's tried to run mods on OSX?!?! (Or BEOS? It looks like this would happen on BEOS too) Basically, Configuration.cc was hardcoded to force anything that calls read_config_file to go to the user's home...

Re: Can't run mods

1) Stdout doesn't have any error codes that show what the game path settings are 2) Yes, it works with the plain games w/o the mods 3) I have no idea what you mean by "converting the mod cfg files to different line endings" Playing with adding some std::cout error codes in the modmgr.cc fi...

Can't run mods

I feel like such a moron not being able to get this to work, but I need help... So at any rate, when I start the exult app, and click "SHOW MODS" I get the error: Description missing! WRONG EXULT VERSION This happens whether I click on "SHOW MODS" under either Black Gate or Serpe...
