... I am not certain, but I can remember that there was an EXPLOSION when the explosion spell and Delayed Blast were shot in Ultima VII. As I now shoot it, I can only see a ball that goes to the enemy/some sparkles that damage the enemy/do nothing at all.

Yes, it's now in our bug tracker. This means we'll fix it eventually :-)
