I'm curious -- how compatible are the files on the various systems? I have a dual boot PC, half Windows, half Debian Linux. If I were to place the game files and save files on part of my drive that both sides could read, could I play the game from both sides? Of course the data files would be readable by both systems, but I'm asking about the save games. Could I start my game in Linux and play for while, then save, then pick up where I left off via Windows? or vice versa? Since I'm the only "user" of this machine, I have no need to keep separate user save games.
If anyone's tried this before let me know whether or not it was successful.

Re: Win / Linux Combo?
Yes, Exult's save games are fully cross-platform.
(In fact, you can even share them between machines with different architectures/endiannesses)

Re: Win / Linux Combo?
isn't exult great?
(this question about file compatibility is actually worth a mention in the FAQ)
