Hello,
In the Black Gate, dead and used up NPC's were sent to the room in the mountain near Cove in the original. It is similar in Serpents isle. What does Exult do with them?
It looks like their coordinates in dec are 408* x 408*, which is off the map to the bottom right. And since we can't teleport to NPCs yet, I can't get to where ever they are.
Thank you,
Salicias

Re: Spent NPC location
Well, I guess the teleport function does actually work, it just sends me to a spot underground or something, north of Britain. I figured it had something to do with this when I saw the tetrahedron creature wandering around here once with -10 health.
This still isn't the full answer to where they go though;)

Re: Spent NPC location
They really disappear. Their coordinates are set to (4095,4095), which is far outside the map. There's no way to get there; teleporting to them would probably wrap you around the bottom-right back up to the top-right. (It should put you about 1/3 of the map from the top-left, which is indeed roughly Britain)
Re: Spent NPC location
I remember this being discussed a while back. Are there any plans to make the room of the dead in Exult?

No plans. It would involve a lot of code changes, and I'm not sure what the advantage would be.
Re: Spent NPC location
I've had the same experience. The problem was that I didn't realize that I'd lost one of my companions (it was Spark, actually) for a quite long time. When I realized it, it was too late that I just didn't have any clue whatsoever where I left his body (or didn't even know when he's got killed...).
Does this mean I have to either:
(1) Start over the entire game, or
(2) Just forget about Spark and continue my quest without him?
I think it's a big (I mean, REALLY big) pain in my butt

Re: Spent NPC location
It is easy to lose Spark on purpose, without thinking a second thought, but if he just disappeared the party would be a lot less whining and you would notice.
