Busted!

In the Black Gate, if you teleport yourself to coordinates 0520, 1031 (dec), Lord British seems to be awfully pissy about something and kills everyone on the planet except for Batlin, whom is acting like he was eating some Serpent Isle mushrooms. Is there a way to trigger this event in the game other than using the teleport cheat?

I think there's a teleport egg that gets you there, but can't remember where.

It's in the SE corner of Trinsic, under a tree. You need to be standing on a crate to do it, though.
