"Freezes" on the boat

In SI, I freed Hawk and went to the boat. I sit down watch Hawk and the other guy come one. Then it stops. I mean to say that the people stop. The coastal water continues it's graphics. I waited several minutes (about 5 minutes). No errors, no nothing.

I have speed set at 10 fps, and I lowered it. nothing
I reloaded my save (on the boat). nothing

I am running Exult 1.00 on WinXP Pro. I can e-mail my save if anyone wants to check it.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

There used to be a bug like this when you tried to sail at night. You might try waiting until daytime.

In any case, you're welcome to submit a bug report with a savegame from just before you go to the boat, and I'll try to fix it.

I only have a save from when I'm on the boat and when i first arrived at Bull... I'll submit my save on the boat and try redoing it. I have the Helm of Light on so I cant see whether its dark or night. But thanks for your help.

I may be wrong here, but, as far as I remember, all the people who are to join you on the ship need to be awake at the moment you sit down.

As far as I can remember I had this bug while playing the original game 10 years ago. So I guess it's in the original usecode.
