Pentagram Crusader?

The pentagram page on sf has some screenshots of the crusader series. I know that the crusader games and U8 used a similar engine. Does this mean that a more mature version of the pentagram engine could be persuaded into running the crusader games? Oh my wouldn't that be nice! I have $5 for anyone who wnats to give it a shot.

Although in the last couple of months interest in ebay auction of the crusader games has increased among the developers
