Please forgive my ignorance. When I run Serpent Isle, I get the following:
Error opening file c:\ultima7\serpentisle\static\usecode
The usecode file is in the static folder under c:\ultima7\blackgate. It says in the Exult doc to copy the static subfolder directory, but I cannot see where to. (It's very late, I realize it's probably easy) I do not want to mix files from both static folders also. The setup part is my exult.cfg file is below. Thank you in advance for any advice. Blackgate runs fine.
c:\ultima7
c:\ultima7\blackgate
(default)
jmsfx.flx
c:\ultima7\serpentisle
(default)
jmsisfx.flx

Re: Help Running Serpent Isle
How about placing the SI static folder in...
c:\ultima7\serpentisle
?
c:\ultima7\serpentisle
?
Re: Help Running Serpent Isle
1. you are supposed to have two different usecode files when you have BG and SI installed.
From the paths in your exult.cfg these should be:
c:\ultima7\blackgate\static\usecode
c:\ultima7\serpentisle\static\usecode
if you don't have these two and especially not one in the SI static dir then you are facing either a bad diskette or CD-Rom (depending on your version of U7). If you downloaded U7 from somewhere on the net, go to that page and complain to them.
