After you recover it from the Mountains of freedom, is it as powerful as it was from Black Gate? (damage value not the magicks)
Then what about the flux analyser? Does it improve the damage? Or just trigger an egg..?

I don't think it's as powerful as in BG because you are forced to release the Demon in order to escape the Mountains of Freedom. However, it is an important plot item later on, so don't loose it 
Also, if you double-click on the sword just after you get off the boat at the beginning of the game (before the teleport storm whisks it away from you), the demon/sword complains that it's magic is ineffective here due to the magic storms.
