Great work, but I need someone to refresh my memory :)

Post by finite »

Ahh the glory days of Ultima. Thanks so much for doing this, really great work. But, onto the point.

First of all, I purchased Ultima VII: The Black Gate back in 1994 from memory, as part of EA's "Top Ten Pack", including such classics as Wing Commander II and Chuck Yeager's Air Combat. Anyhow, after all these years... I can't for the life of me figure out where they put the answers to the copyright questions. In the standard version of Ultima there was a map of some sort, yes? Well, this version didn't include it, however it must have been somewhere in a manual... because I've definitely been to Britain in the past. :) There are PDF versions of the manual/reference cards etc that EA included on the CD, however they don't seem to have the information.

Anyhow, I'm just calling out to anyone who happens to have purchased the same package, and hopefully can tell me where to look. Yes I've read the FAQ, and no I'm not asking for the answers, just some guidance for someone with a poor memory and untidy cupboard. One which I don't wish to search through unless absolutely necessary. ;)

Thanks,

There was a small booklet/Manual that came with the top ten pack that had a paragraph on how to install the games and the copy protection answers to all of the games... IIRC

Argh, guess I'll be going searching for that then. I do recall a booklet or some sort now, thanks for the info. :)

I've got that CD pack too, but I lost my book. (But I have two other copies of U7 that have full manuals + maps anyway).

What you want is to search for the answers. They were given out by origin I think. They're out there anyway.

I found them within 10 seconds by searching thus:

No need, I actually found the booklet ("Reference Card") last night, fairly quickly too to my surprise. Was then too busy playing to actually post here again, heh. :)
