SI crash causng me stress

Hi,

I've been playing Ultima for a very long time, and one of my proudest moments as a kid was solving Serpent Isle.

I've been trying to enjoy doing it again, but to my great frustration, there's a couple of truly fatal crash points in the game after the Banes get loose.

You can't try and get the Serpent Scroll from Fedabiblio without a freeze, and Yelinda can't accept the Comb of Beauty without a serious freeze either.

I've put in a bug report form, but I really really really hope there's a method of solving this... It's frustrating to have solved the SS, and be almost finished SI with no way of moving forward.

Aaargh!

Could you email me a savegame of when things are going wrong?

and also precise what OS you are using and what version of Exult you run.
Also, please post what's in the stdout.txt and stderr.txt (if using Windows).

Never mind, it's fixed. Somehow, your savegames include the Avatar as a party member (not your fault, probably due to some other bug...). Anyway, the next snapshot fixes this when it loads the savegame, so you should be able to continue playing.

I tested with Fedabiblio, and it no longer hangs.
