SI In the gaurd tower south of Fawn, I killed the goblins, and now I have pikemen and regenerating goblins both.
a. shouldn't the goblins be gone for good?
b. if not, shouldn't the pikemen get mad and attack? (Especialy the one on the same floor that is trying to nap)

This also bugged me. The eggs on the level just up the stairs inside the tower don't get deleted/deactivated and the one behind the tower doesn't either... from what I remember of my experience.

Yes, I've been encoutering the same problem for a while. The Goblins in Fawn Tower don't leave, most likely do to the error with some egg.

How isn't it an exult problem?
It's never been in the original, and it's not always (AFAIK), been in exult until "recently" either.

Actually, it has always been in the original. At least, in all the SI games I played. Goblins and Guards would cohexist (and - ahem - peacefully cohabit) after I cleared the tower.
Should be some original usecode mess. Now, am I wrong or most of the Serpent Isle plot is driven by spaghetti usecode? I've got this feeling that there's a lot of "pushing-the-usecode-limits-with-dirty-tricks" code.

Yes it is a usecode problem and it is around in the original, just no one ever noticed it because spwaning was handled a little different and no one wandered close enough to look at again.

That could be it then Dominus. Now I think on it more, I never did actually go back to that tower, as there was no reason to.
The resolutions we are able to run with exult now let us see it happen.
