Latest Snapshot Not Built?

I was wondering why the 10-09 CVS snapshot of Exult has not been built. I had to do it myself but I considered it quite a hassle having to do it myself. So I thought i would make a point of that.

Although.. have you ever consider sound emulation along the lines of VDMSound? Just curious I love that Program for all my dos games.

I missed you on irc so I have to answer here. Sound Emulation like VDMS does is not really working for exult. "All" vdms does is emulate a sound device for the old dos game to use. VDMS doesn't try to find out how a specific program makes its noise but just provides the program with the necessary interrupts and whatever to use.
Exult is a game engine that makes use of the programs data files. Unfortunately the program (the original U7 in this case) has the way it makes its noise hardcoded and not in the data files.
Noise meaning in this case the sfx. Midi music is not a problem here.
