My experience with the OpenGL version:

1. It gave a slight performance boost on my older machine (500Mhz).
2. It often locked the machine up hard, requiring a reboot.
3. It looked pretty bad compared to most of the software scalers. It's probably comparable to the bilinear scaler.

in the current winuae version (an amiga emulator), scale2x looks always
much better than opengl or directx filtering (which looks as if your eyes got
bad). and it's much faster, too.
