Hi all,
I've been playing exult under linux for some time now, and now I have become the proud owner of a sharp zaurus sl-c760. Of course, I decided to install exult on it as well.
I installed the exult ipkg, together with libSDL and libSDL-mixer. I installed the BG data files on my CF card and fixed the path to bg in my .exult.cfg. Exult starts ... and recognizes the bg files ... so far so good. But the screen is turned upside down. Putting the zaurus in portrait mode helped a little. I succeeded in starting the game and everything seems to be in working order. Saving the game works fine. One thing that didnt work, is quitting. I quit the game and go back to the low-res desktop (the c760 is capable of 640x480), and then it appears to be stuck. Pressing cancel here made my zaurus reboot.
Any zaurus experts around? Can I enable debugging somehow?
Thanks and greetings!

I think there is a variable you could export that says in which side to put the screen. Let me look... yes, that's it: export SDL_QT_INVERT_ROTATION and launch exult again. It should look the way you want.
The exit problem sure seems to be an SDL problem. Contact Alexandre Courbot for help on that (http://www.gnurou.org).
Also, exult on zaurus has only be tested on a zaurus SL5500. Thanks for reporting your (partial?) success on another platform. Don't forget to send patches to the exult team for inclusion in the main tree.
You can have debug on, but you'll have to recompile Exult for that. Also please notice if aggressively slows down your PDA. On the other hand, could you post your stderr and stdout here please? You give the impression you'll know how to do that on your own.
