Hi there, Russia here.
Several years ago, when I played U7:BG (the original, of course), I remember getting into a snow storm once. The screen went white (not pure white, but, like, transparent) and really cool snow flakes began falling down. This lasted for, I don't know, several minutes (real time), like a standard rain... I know, this could be just a problem with a pallette, but first of all, minutes later everything went back to normal and, secondly, everything beside that snow looked properly coloured...
So I'm asking: you people now began digging in the BG code - is winter in BG really possible? I mean, I've never experienced it any time later.
Sorry for bad English,
Thank you,
Dmitry

Re: Winter in Britannia
i think Emperor means a kind of change in the palette. like seeing
everything through a milky glass.
but i've never seen this, neither in bg, nor in si.

Re: Winter in Britannia
Yeah, I know this could be a change in the palette, like in Exult. But, in Exult this can happen if you pause the game during the storm, so the game freezes in the middle of a lightning flash. But the original BG's weather was not affected by the gumps, and I remember actually being able to play the game while it was "snowing". And yes, it was like looking through the milky glass.
