Just letting everyone know that I made some minor changes to Midi config and the Audio Options gump in the current CVS versions of Exult. These of course now make the documentation out of date, so that is why I'm mentioning it here. People might get a bit confused otherwise.
Digitial Music (oggs) and the FMSynth (if your Exult has it compiled) are no longer set in the Music Conversion setting. They now have their own setting called Driver ("config/audio/midi/driver").
The 3 settings for Driver are "digital" for Ogg music, "fmsynth" to use Exult's internal emulated FMSynth and "normal" that will use the default driver that has been compiled into Exult for your operating system. Eventually Exult will have more than just 3 music drivers, but this is just the beginning.
So remember, to enable Digital Ogg music you now need to change the 'driver' setting.
One nice change that has also been made, you can change drivers on the fly now. No need to restart Exult when changing Midi drivers. Music will stop when changing drivers, but not much can be done about that.
Just in case you were wondering, Exult will automatically convert old config files that used the old settings to use the new settings.
