Can you implement sound for fireplaces? I miss this sound in Exult.
Thanks.

Re: Sound for Fireplaces
You're right, the sound from being near the fireplace in Stefano's house nor fire fields seems to be working. From checking the shapes in ES, it looks like the flag for sound effect is checked, but there doesn't seem to be a corresponding field for a sound effect number?

Re: Sound for Fireplaces
The fire sfx is terrible. It is purposely not implemented. See this.
Re: Sound for Fireplaces
maybe make it optional in Exult menu for nerds like me
btw, this is main reason why i play in u7 via dosbox...
Very sad to hear that.

Re: Sound for Fireplaces
It would need some more advanced coding to make this properly, IMO. With an extra sfx configurstion file with which you can toggle sfx sounds. Similar to our keyboard layout file.

Call me weird, but I may be one of those few guys who really liked that sound on soundblaster... way back in time.
Having this feature as an option in the menu might be cool, but -- if I understood Dominus right -- it may not be worth the effort, if it's hard to implement or if it could break other things.
After all, we don't want tons of new bugreports with complaints that there is "static" or "noise" all the way
