Having fully staffed The Dark Path with Automatons and fully furnished it with Moonshade residents' beds and tables and chairs, it's time for me to leave Moonshade and travel to Furnace, so I go to talk to Hawk and the following happens:
1) He's in the Blue Boar, seated at a table.
2) I initiate conversation.
3) "I need a stiff drink!"
4) Hawk then leaves the bar and never comes back.
5) I've tried resting for various intervals over a 48 hour period.
This happened using the snapshot from March 29, 2020 in Windows 10.
I have upgraded to version 1.6 and he's still not there. If he's not in the Blue Boar (either the common room nor his room), where does he go? I can't remember seeing him anywhere else. And I've wandered around the town a couple times and can't find him.
I can cheat my way into Furnace, so it's no big deal, but Hawk seems to have vanished.

Did you free him from the Pikemen?

Yes, I freed him from the Pikemen. Got to Moonshade legitimately.
Unfortunately, no, I don't have a savegame from before I talked to him.
I was hoping he had a schedule that would explain where he was. I'm well past that point now.

Oh, I already freed Hawk from jail. This is to leave Moonshade after I have finished the Mountains of Freedom. You're supposed to talk to Hawk, and he tells you about the tunnels.
Would he go back to Sleeping Bull after getting to Moonshade?

Ah, you are correct then.
Can you use the F2 menu to find Hawk's NPC number, and use that menu to teleport to his location? I'm interested in where he is hiding.
If I remember he may be hidden/waiting until you have talked to the right person. Possibly Gustacio?

Well, he was in the Blue Boar. But when I initiated conversation with him, he said he needed a drink and left the bar.
So, I teleported to his location (bear in mind I did this from my current savegame where I'm at Sunrise Isle placing the serpent items on the altar), and apparently, he's in Skullcrusher, but the cursor doesn't work correctly (it's always pointing down and to the left) and the Avatar isn't visible, yet I can "move", the screen scrolls.
I think I talked with Gustacio, when he told me that the Flux Analyzer can fix the Black Sword. But I might be wrong.
Unfortunately, I don't have a savegame where I can test this.

At this poin in the game Hawk is dead and the Skullcrusher location is misleading. If you hit 5 you will notice that you didn't teleport there...

Ah yes, that's right.
I had another save from the Gorlab Swamp Dream Realm and he's in Sleeping Bull. So, it looks like he went back there.
