spellbook problem in SI

well I used the teleport cheat to get around the jawbone problem, got the spellbook, can't get any of the spells to work, I have a bunch of reagents in my inventory, I double click on a spell, nothing happens. What am i not doing here????

I also found another problem in the Mountains of Freedom, when I got the black sword it made it seem like there was nothing in my inventory 0/42 or somethin like that, I saved my game, went to load it up later on, it wouldn't load and it exited to windows automatically, another bug?
