Digital wave sound effects

Post by Jets »

I'm using exult 1.2 win32 and I'm having trouble installing jmsfx and jmsfxsi. I've read the Documentation and to be honest I don't quite understand point 3.6. I'm not sure on how to edit exult.cfg, I'm guessing the data directory is just exult/data?

Use a text editor such as notepad or wordpad to edit cfg files.

I know how to edit it, I don't know what I'm supposed to change it to. It looks like this as of now:

c:\program files\ultima\ultima7

(default)

jmsfx.flx

c:\program files\ultima\serpent isle

(default)

jmsisfx.flx

What should be changed?

actually nothing needs to be changed when it looks like this, but the files (jmsfx.flx & jmsisfx.flx) need to be in the exult data dir (for example c:\program files\exult\data).
Of course you also have to enable sfx via the menu.
