Anyone know where the key to the back path to the keep from

Is there even one? I could never find one. You'd think it'd be on Aram-Dol's corpse if it exsisted. I don't even see why there's a back path to the keep if you can't use it.

It is on the kitchen on Serpent's Fang Keep: along the northern wall, there is a table with two roses; remove the roses and the key is behind them.

Wow, thanks, I was looking for that key forever - I thought I searched the whole keep but I guess I didn't. Having an "Ultima" marathon atm, on 3 but not being able to unlock that door in SI was on my mind.

Heh, perfectly understandable; Every time I play BG/SI I find something I hadn't noticed before (such as the secret door in Fawn Tower with some lucky arrows/magic bolts and a magic bow).

there is a key to Aram Dol´s in the Keep???

does it mean you don´t have to do all the dungeon and that you can go through the front door???

While we are on the topic of keys, does anyone know what the key south of gorlab swamp opens? The key is across the wodden bridge south of gorlab, under the bridge by the healing fountain mostly obscured by ruined tower. I have never been able to figure out where that key goes and it has always bothered me.

I've been noticing things replaying the older Ultimas as well. I went to all the planets in outer space I never visited before, and Dupre is in II. I'm not saying where - mostly before I forget now, lol.

The back path to the keep is more of a shortcut you can use to get in and out and avoid most of the main first level, not bypass the dungeon completely. It's right to the west of the stairway to the second level, where all the spider women Arachnian creatures are.
