I'd like to play Ultima 8 if it was the same as the Ultima7. I couldn't for two reason, play Pagan.

One! Windows trouble.

Two! The game wasn't as good as U7.
Also! I'd miss not having party members.

scroll down to patches and download the patch that says ULTIMA 8 IN WINDOWS it should have a readme in it telling you how to install it...and SFX don't work with it believe me I tryed....but if u wanna give it a swing get VDM sound and use it with it...

and if u'd want to make a U7 mod I'd help u if u wanted to...

I think a re-make of ultima 4 would be better.

it wouldn't require as much work because the would wouldn't need to be changed as much and the new multimap support would allow for there to be big dungeons.

The world in u8 isn't as "interactive" and alive as U7, but I still liked U8 alot. Being a necromancer and evil-ass sorcerer rules! The world and the plot are pretty cool too...

Maybe the Pentagram team will implement that as an optional feature. Would be fun bashing gouls with sexy-legs, I mean, Shaana. Then again, it's kinda hard imagining her following you around without drowning or walking into traps and red mushrooms all the time.

I did start a project on Sourceforge to remake U4 with U7 graphics, but aside from big words nothing has been done there

hey Tristan Pentagram is a map tool for Pagan
if u were to go to the site i mentioned they have a tool that would edit U8's memory manager so that it could use Expanded Memory instead of Extended.........
