Did you know? Nuvie has recently started implementing comba
I didn't either. Why are you guys keeping secrets like that from us? I know not much is going on right now, but we still want to know.

Re: Did you know? Nuvie has recently started implementing c
No commits have happened for over 5 months.
Re: Did you know? Nuvie has recently started implementing c
Well, I posted the other day (GuJiaXian), but there hasn't been a news post in over two years. I'm guessing it's a dead project.
Re: Did you know? Nuvie has recently started implementing c
Haha, well, I meant 5 months was more recent than the previous 2-3 years that have elapsed since then. It's all relative.
Re: Did you know? Nuvie has recently started implementing c
Time to take the discussion over to the nuvie forums, right?

Hey Guys,
I'm still working on Nuvie....Really.
I'm currently reversing the logic from the original game. It's a slow process but I've already got inventories and monster status logically correct in nuvie.
Here are a few code decompiled functions from the original game exe.
http://pastebin.com/m14de72fe
and
http://pastebin.com/m7438be0a
The first is the rear combat worktype and the second is the main combat attack function.
I'm currently collecting more info on combat then I'll code it into nuvie in one go.
Regards,
Eric

Ah... erm. Just a quick suggestion: given that disassembling/decompiling for purposes other than achieving interoperability is, in general, illegal, you may want to keep from advertising the fact that you are doing it.

Like Marzo said. At least don't go posting the results of your decompiling!
Keep in mind that the original source code is probably gone forever, so if you just claimed to be black box testing for logic, nobody would ever know.
I hope Dominus comes by and wipes both yours and my posts.
I loved Ultima 6, and I check Nuvie's site every couple of months. It's good to see you're still working on it!

I'll be wiping this topic when Willem wipes the #nuvie logs

Greetings,
in our process of constantly monitoring every single thread of forums related to the development of engines meant to replay games from about 20 years ago - we've noticed Efry's attempt to reversing the logic from U6.EXE, binary executable to the game "Ultima 6".
Given such statement, we are now going to put our time and resources in the process of verifying it, then shutting down this clearly illegal operation, the port known was "Nuvie", and informing Electronic Arts - the current IP owner - about Efry's criminous intents.
