I'm actually trying to work on the graphics for Ultima 6 Online. I'm wondering if I can use the HQ4x scaler on the graphics in .bmp files. Are there any Photoshop like software that makes this easy to do so? I won't be able to do much with anything that a bit more technical, though.
Let me know if you need me to clarify myself a little more.
Btw, Ultima 6 Online has been reopened again. Check the Aiera forums in the fan project section if you want to give it a go.
Thanks in advance!

Can anyone point me to the right direction? Or maybe this question is just too OT?

Thanks for the info! The links at the site aren't working though unfortunately...

If you do a search on google for the programs listed, most of them can be found. The only ones I couldn't find were scalerx.exe and the batchfilter program. I did find an "Advanced Batch Filter" program... but it's kinda pointless. To use the hq4x program you just have to open up a command line and ytpe "hq4x filename.bmp filename_scaled.bmp" or whatever you use as filenames.

Thanks VisElEchNon! It really helped with your more detailed instructions.
So far, the results haven't been as dramatic as I had hoped. And some dark gray colors got rendered black, which becomes transparent in Ultima 6 Online... I'll still have to do a lot more tinkering.

I take it back... the batch filter WOULD be useful. I decided to ignore the fact that you're trying to do ALL the graphics in U6 when I responded before. So maybe the advanced batch filter program would help.
