Basically, I'm asking by the time the Avatar got to SI, how long has
Estram been there?

One answer would be something about 250 years, since there's a 200
year gap between U6 and U7, but gaps before that were smaller.

However, there is the possibility that time flows differently between
Britannia and SI after they were sundered.

Also, mages can live for very long, yet we don't see many adepts in
Moonshade. This would be a case for a shorter time than 250 years
(unless mages breed very slowly too).

do people have in-game evidence to show which mages (besides
Estram) were first-generation immegrants from Moon? that might
bring us some insight.

Well, UW2 takes place exactly one year after BG... SI is 18 months after BG (I think). That's 18 months Britannian time, which of course is a piddling amount of time in Earth time. So that's 'recent' history covered anyway.

When did Erstam leave Britannia? at the start of the age of enlightenment? If so, that is counted as the year 0 in current Britannian time... According to the Ultima timeline I'm looking at, the Avatar went to Serpent Isle in the year 0364. So that's 364 Britannian years, if Erstam arrived in Serpent Isle immediately after the beginning of the age of enlightenment...

My point was that 364 Britannian years may not conver to 364 Serpentian
years. Because the two lands were cut apart, time may flow at different
speeds between the two places. It might've been 700 years on Serpent
Isle, or 70 years.

So my goal is to figure out how long Estram and friends have been in
Serpent Isle by examing in-game evidence of SI.

I just thought of another lead for myself:
How many generations ago was the pirate Silverplate? I would guess
he was one of the original people from Sosaria, considering he knows
Estram quite well, and I think it was just a few years of settling in
Serpent Isle that Estram decided to get away from people.
So if someone can recall how many generations there was between
Silverplate and (Angus?), that can give me some ballpark of how long as
passed since Estram's settlement.

We also know that the War of Imbalance was taking place on the Serpent Isle during Ultima 3.

However, by the time Erstam and co arrived there, there was naught but ruins left, and the Ophidians were long-vanished.

It would seem reasonable to conclude that a fairly long time passed between U3 and U4, and that would allow for the same amount on SI. Since they're separated parts of the same world, it's probably not unreasonable to assume they operate in the same time frame.

Torissio seems to have some anomalous things to say about his family history, though...

Hell, it even says in the U7 Manual that time runs slower in New Magincia than anywhere else in Britannia. That's on the same damn planet! Don't get your hopes up by thinking Serpent Isle runs at the same rate *grins*

I thought that was just a figure of speech, like when you say that
time passes more slowly out in the country. (i.e. they don't have running
water or electricity. )

Honestly, I've never heard that expression, but then again I live in the UK version of silicon valley... there's always something happening.

I think Britannian and Serpent Isle time are roughly equal. Erstram had been researching immortality, so I'm sure he has prolonged his life a bit.

As far as New Magincia's time running slower... what that really means is that changes happen a LOT slower than elsewhere. Since the people are humble and enjoy the life they have, they figure, why change?
