I wonder if these would work under vista 64bit..... :)

I have what is pretty much one of the holy grails of voodoo cards, that being the obsidian x-24, if you know that name, then you know it's worth bragging about. :D Would be nice to know if I could someday plug that in and use it again to play some ultima9. :D But then again, my 6600gt would probably handle it even better.

But damn, it's great to see some support left for these cards. :)

I don't have Vista x64 installed, but my driver should work in Vista. :-)

Actually, aren't their some effects that are Voodoo native, that do not come across on other graphics cards? Any chance my Voodoo 5 PCI will work with these?

There is only one real effect that couldn't readibly be emulated and that's passing LFB writes through the pixel pipe. I don't think this feature was used very often, but it's a feature thats very unique to Voodoos. Other 'hard' things are Paletted Textures and Chroma keying. Both of those were used lots, but can be emulated correctly on modern Direct3D Shader Model 3.0 graphics hardware.

Anyway, no, my driver only works with Voodoo 1 and Voodoo 2 (it's untested but should work).

Doing something like it for Voodoo Banshee/3/4/5 PCI cards (or AGP cards in PCI-AGP slot converters) could in theory be done, but would require a fairly substantially re-engineered Glide backend.
