Sularus,

Not a problem :)

Testing/Fixing that whole issue is going to be a pain, just fyi :) I tried it in the emulator and wasn't able to recreate it some time ago. I'll try it again sometime soon.

The pointer problem shouldn't be that big of a deal...its odd that its even a problem. The code scales the mouse coordinates appropriately under normal conditions....so there's definitely code there already describing what you've posted.

I'm glad you like the on-screen keyboard :) That took quite a lot of work, mostly because the menus of each game do NOT support the "gumps" that were so nicely coded by other Exult team members. (The gumps are pretty much any window that has the check mark next to it on U7P1)

Thanks for testing (and playing!)!

I'm thinking we need a "PocketPC" section on this forum...there's just so much information in this post and the other post :)

Thara and Sularus,

Scratch that! I think I fixed the problem...it wasn't as complicated as I thought. It'll be fixed in the next release (should be sometime today)...if you want it sooner than that, please contact me via email and I'll send you a zipped copy of the latest Exult binary.

Thanks!

At first I thought that the problem was still there, but I started playing and changed the Video options->Scaling from x1 to x2. It now works fine for me.

looks like i'll be starting Ultima VII again tonight.

thanks Lanica!

I tried the german version of this game. Got the same problems here like some other guys - the mouse-pointer doesn't react on the position i put the stylus on. Helped myself out with a USB mouse (I use a Pocket Loox N560).

Another problem I encounter is when creating a new character. I somehow manage to put in a name and start loading the game. I see the red screen, just before entering trinsic the game will crash.

Let me say that beeing able to play Ultima 7 on a PocketPC is a dream coming true for me, thank you for the great work !

Toltec,

Did you download the latest version from:

http://exult.info/download.php ?

What resolution are you using? Go ahead and paste exult.cfg and stdout.txt for me...stdout.txt should have the answers, but exult.cfg is fairly useful too :)

Thanks for testing!

NEW RELEASE

*** Bug fixes ***
2007-07-07 Lanica Dragon (Phillip T. George )
* PocketPC: Set audio system to just USE_FMOPL_MIDI
The theory is, this may reduce crashes, as Timidity doesn't
appear to work, and MT32 could be having problems.
2007-07-02 Lanica Dragon (Phillip T. George )
* PocketPC: Fixed bug with "Normal" option w/ D-PAD
Normal option couldn't be selected
