It seems the game miss one of the Great Earth Serpent line. I have a clear memory than when you finish the Dream World and get back to Gorlab Swamps with the ring, you had a line from the Serpent which in my mermory doesn't fail me

"Hero from another world, know that I it is the Great Earth Serpent that you once rescued from Exodus the destroyer. If only thou couldst help me Avatar".

Now he only says "Time is SHort, move on"...

I'm not sure if it's an exult bug or from my SI (thinking of it, I'm pretty sure I never got that line ever since I played SI the first time with Sivler Seed); but I though I might ask other players.

Speaking of Great Earth Serpent though, has anyone noticed the Serpent Necklace not replaying the last message spoken (as it is supposed to) ???
Running 1.0, Earth Serpent has been repeating "Seek the temple, and within it the eye of the moon" since I first got that particular message.

is it just me ?

Sergorn, you're right. I myself was wondering why that part seemed odd. The wrong thing is said. Sergorn is right. that is a bug.

It said that phrase when I played it last time.

I can answer this one, as it's something I checked out years ago with the originals.

The problem lies with The Silver Seed.

Once it's installed, you are returned to the real world at the wrong spot relative to (I assume) the egg that sets the special speech. Since you're in the wrong place, the serpent speech that occurs is a generic 'hurry up' one.

I did confirm that if you step back to where you *should* be and use the serpent necklace, you'll hear the correct, "Hero from another world..." speech.

I don't know if the Exult team would consider it worth tracking down where things got fouled up and correct it so you get put in the correct spot when coming out of the dream world, but that should solve the problem.

Maybe the Silver Seed team worked on a slightly older version of Serpent Isle than the one that was released.
What could be done, I guess, is to have Exult create the same egg at the new coordinates when playing Silver Seed.

That would work as well. I should add: I don't know for certain that an egg is involved, since I didn't have access to the cheat codes back then. (This was in my pre-internet days. )

However, it was clearly the positioning that was involved in the problem, so if it's not an egg, then it's something else being dependent on the location of the Avatar.
