Shrine of Sacrifice bug?

In the original BG, if you go to the shrine of sacrifice after midnight, there is a lich there and a great dagger on the altar. I can't seem to get this to happen in 1.0. Has anyone else had trouble with this?

OK, never mind. It is there, but for some reason you have to walk around on the island a bit and then it all just suddenly appears. IIRC, this wasn't how it worked in the original, and I certainly don't remember the lich casting Death Bolts in the original! I had to retry this a few times before I managed to win without loosing any party members!

That's what liches do.

Him not appearing must be a bug, but him being overly deadly is what it is supposed to be. And anyway a lot of people think that Exult is too easy and not to hard :-)

Well.. I did just take down a dragon without companions, unarmed and level 3. Fists of fury BABY!

Also, have you ever noticed that sometimes there's a dead woman on the alter?

Well, if you bring her to Lord British and resurrect her, she'll turn into one of the companions like Iolo or Dupre. It's an interesting bug that was in the original.

Interesting!
I never saw the lich (either in the original game or with exult) or the dead woman... I always wondered where that dagger came from...
