I'm in Skara Brae and attempting to talk to Forsythe, the mayor. I'm sure I've already cast the seance spell. But when I click on him, nothing happens. Using the "t" key doesn't work either. Any idea why this is happening or what I can do about it?

There's a ghost in the town hall that looks exactly like Forsythe but doesn't talk. Maybe you're accidently trying to talk to that ghost instead of the mayor?

Okay, I have another question about Skara Brae... I can't ask Trent to sacrifice himself because he's standing too far away from Rowena. I knew this was a problem, but I thought I had them standing close enough together, and I guess I was wrong. I was also too stupid to save beforehand.

The FAQ says it's possible to hackmove Rowena closer to Trent. How do I do this? I'd prefer not to restart from my last save, which would cost me at least half an hour of gameplay.

Never mind... I have this annoying habit of asking for help and then solving my problem myself immediately. Sorry for the waste of bandwidth/time.

That extra Forsythe is supposed to go away in more recent versions of Exult (if you start a new game, that is).

I did Skara Brae all over again a second time because the townspeople did not appear in the castle like they are supposed to, so Quenton disappeared. So a half hour of lost gameplay is NOTHING.

And now I am stuck at the Tetrahedron because there is no moongate there. And I had trouble with the Sultan because the harpy did not leave a corpse the first four times I killed her.

So... take the game with a grain of salt. For as great as the game was, it still shows its age some, and Exult does have issues that will force you to reload and replay some things now and then.

I played through BG in Exult and didn't notice any "issues" that forced my to replay anything.

Speaking of issues... I'm at the Isle of the Avatar. I've gotten to the Throne of Change and sat in the Throne of Virtue. I've returned to the original location and found a new passage in the NW wall that leads to a green teleporter. The only problem is that when I stand on the teleporter, nothing happens. It doesn't teleport me to the Black Gate.

Is there something I've done wrong? I've gone back and sat in the Throne of Virtue again, and that didn't do anything. Is there anything I can do short of restarting from an earlier save? Or is there some way I can cheat to move my party to the Black Gate?

I'm not sure what's wrong here, but it's definitely possible to cheat, as the BG is somewhere on the island (can't remember exactly where).

If you use the F3 teleport map the BG room is the big open room below the mountain tip on the west side of the island, at the north side of the water passage.

The teleporter in the throne room worked for me. Maybe you should file a bug report with a savegame near the teleporter, if someone is interested in looking at it.
