When I used to play U7 long ago, I used to enjoy going into the mines in Minoc and mine the chunks of ore lying about. I would equip a mining pick and "attack" the chunks. After a few good swings with my trusty pick, the chunk of ore would often reveal a gold nugget and occasionally a gem would appear. I prefer to play the game without stealing from people, therefore, this used to be my main source of making money. I am using Exult v1.0 and have tried mining the ore chunks for a while, but they never break. Is there anything that can be done about this?

I'm trying to figure out if this is done in the usecode(script). Do any of your companions say anything when this happens?

No, all my companions just stand around and do nothing.

I tried this playing the original with U7run, but couldn't get anything to happen. Is there something special to do?

I thought nuggets were made by using the mining machines in U7...

That's my recollection, also.

I remember playing the original version many years ago and when using a pick in the mines I would get gold nuggets to appear. I can't remember exactly how I did it though.

i know i used to mine nuggz the very same way by attacking or using a pick on a nugget on the ground.

Did that work in U7? I know you could mine that way in U6, but I could only ever get the mining machines to do the job in U7.

Where do you mine in U6? I can't remember at all.

I seem to remember that in U6 you could use a pick inside caves and get occasional gold nuggets.
