I'm using Exult 1.2, and had tried EVERYTHING to summon the Chaos Hierophant at the Temple of Enthusiasm, but it didn't work, despite me have done everything that needed to be done. I had to resort talking to him using the bug, where you meet him in the old powder factory.

What has gone wrong? Is this a bug? A screenshot where exactly I have to stand to summon him would be good.

He's actually summonable if one is standing on or near the Serpent gate there.

Body is to the east of this gate.

Actually did exactly that.
But even with the Chaos Serpent Eye in my posession, knowing what to do, and seeing the corpse (it's the only one in the area), my "Summon Shade" simply fails to work. Strange, because with the Balance Hierophant, it DID work.

Lets see: to summon the Chaos Hierophant, you need:
1) to be within the square (2343 < x < 2375), (299 < y < 319);
2) to have the item Sethys gives to you when he dies (shape 209, frame 9);
3) The quality of the corpse neaby must be 13 (it is set to 0 after a successful cast of Summon Shade).

That is it. By the way, the item you need is the Eye of the Serpent (shape 209 frame 9) *NOT* the Chaos Serpent Eye (shape 209 frame 19).

I tested it by loading a earlier saved game, rescued Mortegro, transcriberd the spell and used Vibrated to get the Eye of the Serpent Sethys with "Vibrate".
This time, it worked.

Retracing my doings, I finally realized what I did wrong earlier in the game:

Whatever you do, DON'T TOUCH the corpse of the Chaos Hierophant in any way (looking into it or moving it)! It seems that this sets the value to 0, making it impossible to summon him at all!
To the Exult team: Can this bug be fixed?

Oh, while I'm at it, maybe you can also fix that you can't get the Eye of the Serpent any longer by using Vibrate on Sethys?

I can't reproduce it in the current snapshot, which means it is already fixed there.

That would be an usecode patch, more in line with SI Fixes. However, since the serpent eye is an item which Sethys carries with him, I don't think that it would make much sense to prevent it from dropping it.
