It hadn't been updated for over a year anyway, but it was home of the U9 dialog patch, and still had some useful links. There are still some other good sites out there though. Just thought some people might like to know.

A moment of silence is needed for this site in my opinion since this opened me up to all of the ultima remakes thus opening the *new* ultima universe to me

I know why it's down. Apparently it was out of date, and had to be maintained financially too... the dialogue patch is also found on other hosts too, such as the Reconstruction, so don't worry about it.

If you notice, it's not the only thing that's down. U6P apparently lost control of their domain name, but can still be reached at http://www.planetdungeonsiege.com/archon - currently they have probs even with that but I believe they'll fix it.

A lot of things such as this that are asked are already explained on my website. If you're interested in remakes and such, you should keep yourselves updated at my website - http://www.geocities.com/mitzenos (which is moving soon, btw).

Which bring me to my next question. Is there a U7 discussion forum besides this one? I wanted to ask how "party" experience is doled out. If I tell eveyone except Jaana to "wait here" and only she and the avatar complete the mission, will she and avatar get more experience than each member of a party of 8 would?

I don't know of any other Ultima-7-only discussion forum... but I think Jaana and Av would get more experience than the rest.

Good question. I can't remember how Exult does it, and I'm not sure if it even matches the original game.

What I do know is that when points are given for completing a subquest, the same amount is given to each party member, regardless of the size of your party. So you wouldn't want to have anyone 'waiting'.

My recollection of the original U7...

'Quest' XP is awarded to each party member.
'Kill' XP is awarded only to the party member who landed the killing blow.

Thus, you'd need to hang back and keep pumping healing into Jaana whilst she fights the hordes alone.
