How good is a hawk?

Jaana comes with a hawk, which seems to be a throwing weapon. How does it compare to other throwing weapons in damage, and does it do anything special?

OK, is there an item editor that displays the attributes of an item?

Yes, yes there is. It's called Exult Studio

I believe that I would have to install exult 1.1 to get Studio to work. I have a bunch of saved games in exult 1.0 I don't want to lose. I guess I could copy the U7 tree, delete the saved games from the U7 copy, and install 1.1 on top of it, but then I'm not sure I could find the items I wanted in a new game. Can you give me a hint how to edit the hawk in Studio if I don't know what type of object a hawk is....

IIRC the savegames are compatible between 1.0 and 1.1

OK, I brought up exult studio and on the game screen, and then double clicked on the hawk, juggernaut hammer, etc. but there was no field that displayed the damage for these objects. Maybe the damage is a non-displayable attribute????

Choose 'shapes.vga' in ExultStudio, find the hawk (you can search by name), then double-click on that. You should get a notebook-style dialog with a "Weapon" page that will show you all the stats.

Got it. I was trying to go DIRECTLY to the info. I have to use the name or "shape number" to search and when you click on that little picture it does indeed show the damage.

I assume that 2-handed weapons are displayed as ready spot: left hand?

Thanks!
