just next to gorlab swamp is a tower, when you go in it through a secret door and go over a bridge theres a key thats hard to spot but just next to the bridge, but whats it to? i cant find a chest around there or any doors, so whats it for?

1: a locked door in the secret room on Erstam's island. (Not sure how to reach that one; possibly through Cat's isle)

2: a door in the Silver Seed, Khumash Gor's lair, but you're supposed to open that with a different key

The secret room in Erstam's island is accessible from the Moonshade area. There's a big treestump just east of Stefano's old house in the woods. If you stand on that (need a crate to get onto it) you'll be teleported to a sandy island with a treasure chest.

At one of the corners of the island there's an invisible path over the ocean. It leads (with a bend or two) to the cave entrance to the secret chamber in Erstam's isle.

And wasn't Khumash Gor a Zealan warlord from U8? The liche in SS was Aram-Dol. I take it as a good sign for Pentagram that you're getting too tied up in the U8 stuff. *grins*
