Ultima7's default resolution is 320x200. Currently, this is also the default resolution in Exult. While you might have not noticed it, Windows doesn't handle this resolution as well as DOS does. Exult U7 has got an "interlaced" feel that wasn't present in the original U7. I'd suggest changing the default to 320x240. It isn't cheating and it's a more standard resolution IMHO. Plus, it doesn't look interlaced.

BTW, you have done a splendid job, Exult team. I will never stop marveling at your efforts, courage, ablilities, patience and endurance. I salute you all.

Exults default resolution looks exactly the same as the original U7 to me.

The only thing I change, is taking of the filters, to make it look like the original

Raider: we won't do that. Anything above 320x200 is cheating (because it's not as the designers of the world intended it to be).

If you're not happy with the default settings, change them. We've made it easy for you to do so...

I thought 320x240 was the default in the German version, though I could be mistaken (I'm an ignorant American).

If this is the case, then 320x240 is not cheating, since it is a standard game configuration.

You are very mistaken. U7 and U7.5 used MCGA mode 13h (320x200). 320x240 is a non-standard VGA-only mode (Mode-X).
