Can't talk to Forscythe in Skara Brae

When I get to Skara Brae, Forscythe doesn't move and can't be talked to (and yes I've used seance). Anyone know what the problem is?
You might be talking to "The Other Forsythe"(TM)
There's a ghost in the Skara Brae town hall that looks like Forsythe, but isn't.
I thought this was fixed in semi-recent versions. (Although you do have to start a new game with such a semi-recent version to notice the fix.)
Dominus: maybe something for the FAQ? A lot of people have reported this.
