Serpent Isle: Special Operations

I gleaned this from the Warren Spector interview on Bootstrike (link below)

/GB: (14) Forge of Virtue was kind of a strange product. Is there anything
similar going to come out for Serpent Isle?

WS: It's certainly been thought of. It's a sales thing. If SI does well,
we'll be able to do it. We've got two good proposals for one already.
The setting for one is Earth, the other isn't./

Now, wouldn't THAT have been interesting? I wonder if there's anything else
about this out there somewhere...

"Accentuated" might have been the word I was looking for, though the "power signs" were UNDER the LINE....

just use exult studio and make an addon for it titled Special Operations.. maybe a relic is on earth, hidden.. that is beneficial for a quest to save either britannia, serpent isle, or another planet.. you and whoever is in your party still has to go there.. all happening AFTER silver seed.. but before ultima 8.. i mean hell you could even make it after ultima 8.. make it an addon for ultima 7 itself that happens after you become a titan kinda like an alternate universe? im just throwin ideas out.. its science fiction, im sure there's a way to work out continuity ;)

Ahem, Ultima took place on Earth at one point if I remember right...
*cough*ULTIMA II*cough*
(I hope I made that obvious enough)

Some suggestions if you do make this quest:
Just make everything like that one, but have them do a different quest or something like that. I can't remember if you had a party in that one, since it's been so long since I've played. If you did, make them older and still join your party. Just remember that the Avatar is FROM Earth, so at least some of them would know him, just not as "the Avatar".

then again there are other planets in the universe.. i want to hopefully make an expansion using exult studio on a totally new world with different types of people and magic and stuff.. anyone wanna help? :D

I am up to help with art. I have not much to do this summer, so it makes it easy for me. I would just "duplicate" Ultima VII's style of items, etc. I would need help to export them in Exult's usable form, though...

no because martian dreams wasn't done in exult.. so its not the same..

by different magic, i mean different forms. keeping the same circles as 7 and 7.2 combined if possible, and then adding more just to have different forms of magic.. maybe a few from the other ultimas that were taken out or not added into the series yet..

the weapons would mostly stay the same with different versions of them as well as armor.. different names.. etc..

and to me, i'd have it where the avatar or whoever you played as, was able to step through moongates to not only different towns, but different worlds altogether.. not only do you have to save one world, but all linked worlds like u7 and si suggest when all worlds are linked..

just because one story is done already in ultima doesnt mean it cant be done BETTER.. or differently for that matter

Those are some great ideas, drk. It makes me want to work with you. Make it extravagant! I can give you art to work with, and then you have the game make it happen! If we do make this, what will it be called?
