MacOS X 0.99RC2 beatable?

Hi all. I recently bought a new 41.1 inch iBook.

I got exult up and running just great but I noticed that the newest version of exult available for MacOS X was 0.99RC2.

Does anyone know if ultima 7 and serpent isle were completable with this earlier version of exult? Are there any killer flaws or things that could keep a person from being able to beat the game?

Also, is development on the macOS X version still going on?

Thank you!

I have that Exult version (PC though). I finished Serpent Isle using it. However, there was something that nearly stopped the plot - it was a bug with Vasculio. I did get over it though, and still finished it (without cheating).

Exult is triggering a bug in the standard C++ library from MacOSX. Apple has fixed the bug internally, but we'll have to wait until they release new developer tools.

A 41.1 inch iBook? Can you fit that in your backpack?

Will the new releases of Exult have OSX builds? Has Apple released the updated developer tools yet? Thanks for any information.
